What type of blood donation is best for O positive?
If you are Type O, you can Make the Most of Your Donation by donating whole blood or double red cells (a double red cell donation is collected through an automated process that removes red cells and returns fluids back to the donor) or platelets. Whole blood donors are eligible to give blood every 8 weeks.
Can a o ve donate blood to B ve?

Is donating O negative blood good?
O negative is the universal blood type that can be given to patients of any blood type. While all blood types are needed, type O negative donations are important during emergency situations when there is no time to determine a patient’s blood type.
Can O positive donate to anyone?
Type O positive blood is given to patients more than any other blood type, which is why it’s considered the most needed blood type. O positive red blood cells are not universally compatible to all types, but they are compatible to any red blood cells that are positive (A+, B+, O+, AB+).
Why is it acceptable to give O+ blood to a patient that has B+ blood?
Red blood cells from a donor that is type O+ can be transfused into patients of four different blood types: A+, B+, AB+, and of course O+. Their plasma does not contain A or B antibodies and can be transfused safely to all blood types.
Is O ve universal donor?
Group O can donate red blood cells to anybody. It’s the universal donor.
