What are flute plugs?
Flute plugs are a training tool for students moving from a plateau/closed-hole flute to an open-hole flute. Easy to use silicone plugs fit into open hole keys to help players practice the correct hand positions while playing their instrument, and remove them when they become comfortable with the flute.
Do open hole flutes come with plugs?
Yup, a little hole that is about the size of a the back of the pencil end eraser. It’s just the right size for the fat pads of your finger tops to fit right in. All of these higher level flutes with open-holes usually come with little plugs that fit inside of the holes.
