What happened to Flying Scotsman’s second tender?
The spare tender used on Flying Scotsman was bought for use by the A1 Trust on Tornado, but was not subsequently used. The frames were taken to Darlington, while the (corridor) tank was dumped at the Tanfield Railway. I saw and photographed it there about 10 years ago, but I don’t know it’s whereabouts now.
