What is Coprox used for?
Coprox Masonry Waterproofing is an easy and effective masonry waterproofing solution suitable for commercial and domestic applications. It prevents water seepage in new masonry structures and remedies damp problems in existing ones.
Can you paint over Coprox?
Coprox is good as it’s waterproof and you can sand it. Apply a couple of coats of a good undercoat, sanding after each one’s dried to further fill uneven texture. Then paint. Both effectively provide a relatively stable surface upon which to paint, but neither address the underlying problems.
Can you plaster over Coprox?
Ensure the surfaces are free of any negative moisture. Should this not be the case, the surfaces must first be treated with Coprox Masonry Waterproofing or if necessary, plastered with Coprox Waterproof Cement Additive added to the plaster mix before proceeding with the application.
Can I tile over Coprox?
Coprox Waterproof Dualcoat provides waterproofing and an aesthetically attractive decorative finish all in one step. It eliminates the need for plaster, paint and tiles, providing an attractive and unique naturally aged, mottled and rustic finish, which becomes more pronounced over time.
How long does Coprox take to dry?
Allow to dry for approximately 2 hours. Apply two coats of Coprox Masonry Waterproofing.
What can I mix with cement to make it waterproof?
For the masonry of exterior walls with hard brick one often uses 1 part cement, 3.5 parts sand, 0.25 part lime. While for the same job, but with much softer limestone, a completely different mixing ratio is advised, namely 1 part cement, 9 parts sand, 2 parts lime.
How do you mix Coprox?
Mix one part Coprox Waterproof Cement Additive with two parts of clean fine plaster or silica sand by volume, e.g. 1 cup Coprox Waterproof Cement Additive to 2 cups sand. Add a little water and mix until a putty like consistency is achieved. Wear protective gloves and knead well for about half-a-minute.
