What is IB dance like?
I. The IB DP dance course takes a holistic approach to dance, and embrac- es a variety of dance traditions and dance cultures—past, present and looking towards the future. Performance, creative and analytical skills are mutually developed and valued whether the students are writing papers or creating/performing dances.
How is IB structured?
The IB Diploma curriculum contains six subject groups, together with a compulsory core that is central to the ethos of the programme and made up of three elements: Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Action and Service. Six subject choices are made, one from each subject group.
Is IB suitable for you?
Whether you should take IB courses is ultimately a personal decision; the program definitely has benefits, but even if you’re an academically skilled student looking for a high-level educational experience, it may not be right for you.

What does internal assessment mean in dance class?

Is the dance course the same at SL and HL?
The aims and assessment objectives are the same at both SL and HL, with additional assessment objectives at HL. The assessment criteria for SL and HL are related, with additional requirements at HL. In the teaching of the dance course it should be possible to have groups of students that include both SL and HL students.
